The bees are buzzing, the teachers are humming, the students are smiling: Spring is in the air.
As the bees hover and flit among the luscious peach blossoms, the rainbow lorikeets hang upside-down feasting on the soaring grass tree spikes, koalas sleepily reach for fresh leaves, the river glints and winds in the distance, the students and staff at Wyrallah enjoy the daily celebration of nature that we are so lucky to share.
This term the students began their participation in the federally funding program: Active After School Communities. This fun and healthy program provides us with two professional sports coaches each week. During Term 3, 2012 we are learning and enjoying the skills of tennis on Tuesdays and Aussie T-Ball on Fridays.
Highlights for this term also include the Lismore Performing Arts Festival, with our school performing on the evening of Wednesday, 29th August 2012. The Festival is held in the Lismore Workers Club.
The following week our exciting Whole School Excursion will take in the outdoor education delights of Camp Koinonia at Evans Head. Activities will include canoeing, rock wall climbing, beach challenges and 'Swinging in the Chapel'. It will be exciting, a great experience and lots of fun!
